Design Features:
- Two pendant fixtures spiral down from the ceiling, more ribbon than light fixture, dozens of thin gold rods curling along the path instead of dropping straight down. Nothing about them hangs flat, and that's exactly what anchors the room without a single straight line involved.
- Sofas curve into rounded zones rather than sharp corners, taupe upholstery running unbroken from one end to the other. Given how much seating fills this room, that curve does real work, keeping the whole layout from turning boxy and rigid.
- Walnut panels ripple across the side walls in a wave pattern, catching light differently depending on where you're standing. Subtle at first, this texture, more felt than noticed right away, and it takes the edge off a room that could've gone cold against all that dark flooring.
- Dark marble covers most of the floor, polished enough to catch the spiral lighting overhead and throw a second glow back up beneath the furniture. Holds up well under daily use too, and staying cool matters a lot once summer hits in Dubai.
- Dried pampas grass and cherry blossom branches sit low across the coffee tables, breaking up all that velvet, marble and metal with something softer. Keeps the room from tipping into showroom territory, despite everything else in it being built at such a large scale.
