Design Features:
- A tall folding screen behind the bed carries a hand painted bird in flight trailing into delicate leaves. Framed in slim black metal with rounded edges, it reads more like standalone art than a typical headboard backdrop.
- The wall around it is painted a deep olive green. That's a bold colour, but it works here because the rest of the room is holding back. You get a moody, rich feel without any extra pattern stepping in to help.
- The headboard is teal velvet, wide and tall, with vertical channel tufting that looks a little different depending on where you stand. There's a teal throw across the foot of the bed too, so the colour carries right down into the bedding.
- Cocoon shaped pendants drop low on either side, their layered petal shades glowing warm against the dark palette. Rounded white marble nightstands sit below, the pale stone balancing out all that deep colour above it.
- A soft grey marbled rug spreads beneath the bed, its veining echoing the nightstands nearby and keeping the room from feeling too closed.
