Design Features:
- The wall above the bed is covered in raised beige panels that roll across it in a wave and each strip picks up shadow a little differently depending on where you're standing. There's no bold colour or artwork up there and honestly it doesn't need any, because the texture alone gives the wall plenty of depth.
- On both sides of the headboard, bronze frames hold panels of woven rattan which bring some warmth next to the smooth upholstered wall above them. Put the rough weave beside the clean panelling and the backdrop suddenly has layers to it instead of reading as one flat surface.
- The headboard itself is wide tan leather with a warm, almost terracotta shade to it. Against all the softer beige around it that colour stands out the moment you look at the bed.
- Low wooden nightstands with rounded edges sit on either side of the bed. Most of the room is made of straight lines and flat panels, so those soft curves take the edge off in a way you notice without really thinking about it.
- Under the bed there's a thick ivory shag rug, the kind your feet sink into a bit. Next to the dark wood floor it looks lighter and cosier and it keeps the bed area feeling grounded.
