Design Features
- Above the island, gold ribbon pendants hang in loops that curl at the bottom, close to a dozen of them, each staggered to a different length. The light off them shifts depending on where you're standing, never quite the same twice.
- No square corners on this island. It curves the whole way round, topped in deep green marble that stands out hard against all the pale wood filling the rest of the room.
- The ceiling above isn't flat either. It sculpts around the pendant cluster like a frame, lit warm from behind, just enough glow to hold its own without stealing attention from the lights hanging beneath it.
- Stools along the counter come in cream fabric, pleated in soft vertical folds rather than left smooth. Small detail, but it takes the edge off a kitchen that leans fairly angular everywhere else.
- Toward the back, wood panelling runs floor to ceiling, interrupted only by a slim glass paned door and a run of green marble tucked in behind the sink.
