Design Features
- At the centre of the room sits a rounded oak island, marble slab on top. The corners curve, which is what keeps the space easy to move through even with a chair pulled up to it.
- A ring shaped pendant hangs above the island, its glow catching softly off the marble underneath. Something about it feels more like jewelry than an actual light fixture.
- One wall gives itself over entirely to a glass fronted display cabinet. Warm light inside, tableware and ceramics on show, and suddenly storage becomes something worth looking at.
- Diagonal wood inlay runs across the kitchen's exit door, a thin brass line cutting through the pattern. Not much on its own, but it keeps the panel from reading as plain.
- Tall wardrobe style cabinets line the opposite wall, matched in wood tone to the island. Even with a footprint this narrow, that shared tone keeps the room feeling like one connected space.
