Design Features:
- Glass petals fan out from one point at the very top of the room, building a rosette that catches daylight from every angle it can reach. The room stays bright well into the afternoon. Once the light fades outside, a ring of warm recessed bulbs quietly takes over.
- Right below sits a chandelier that never quite settles into one shape, gold ribbons twisting and looping through each other endlessly. Calling it a light fixture almost undersells it. More like a piece of sculpture someone froze mid-spin, each curve picking up light a little differently than the last.
- Sofas in olive velvet trace a soft curve through the room, ivory cushions dropped in at regular spacing to break up all that green. The rounded backs pull the same shape as the dome overhead, loosening up what could've easily been too stiff and symmetrical.
- The floor answers the ceiling here, almost note for note. A floral marble inlay spreads from the centre outward, its lines lining up with the skylight above in a way that reads as deliberate, not lucky. Durable too, this stone, built to survive years of formal use without going dull.
- Low walnut tables trimmed in brass sit scattered through the seating, crystal pieces gathered together near the middle. Along the back wall, arched windows dressed simply enough let extra daylight filter through, careful not to steal attention from the skylight doing the heavy lifting overhead.
