Design Features:
- Three brass pendants, each at a different height above the table, arms bent, small round shades tilted to one side. None of it lines up neatly. That's the whole trick, really, keeps this from looking like the same fixture every boardroom order from the same catalog.
- Both side walls carry matte black shelving top to bottom, lit along the shelf edges, a handful of books and small pieces scattered in rather than packed tight. Dark shelving against warm brass gives the room actual depth, no colour required to pull that off.
- Fluted wood panels stand behind the table, running vertically, catching light differently depending on where someone's sitting. Small touch, but it's what keeps the wall behind the screen from just going flat and forgettable.
- Eight brown fabric chairs sit around a long dark table, and that warm brown against all the black shelving stops the room from sliding into cold or overly corporate territory, even buried in this much dark finish.
- Near the shelving tucked into a base cabinet that sits a small wine rack. Odd little detail for a boardroom, but it means this same room could host a private dinner just as easily as a Monday morning meeting.
