Design Features:
- First thing that grabs you is the chandelier. Hangs right over the desk, crystal drops catching whatever light hits it, and in a room this dark it's basically doing the job of a skylight. Without it the navy walls would feel like they're closing in.
- Behind the desk, floor to ceiling shelving, lit from within. Nobody arranged those books to look perfect. Some are stacked flat, some upright, small objects tucked between them almost randomly. That's the difference between a room styled for a photo and one that gets used.
- Two boucle chairs, chrome legs, sitting across a desk that's just plain oak, nothing fancy about it. That contrast is really the whole point here. Take away the texture on those chairs and the room goes stiff. Take away the plain desk and it gets too busy.
- Every wall here is wrapped in charcoal blue panelling, which honestly isn't the safe choice. Most offices in Dubai lean light and airy. This one doesn't, and it only holds together because the shelf lighting and the brass on that chandelier stop the dark tone from eating all the light in the room.
- Down at floor level there's a round rug with a soft pattern, sitting over warm toned wood. Small detail, but it's what keeps the desk and chairs from feeling like they're just placed in the middle of an empty hallway.
