Design Features:
- That burnt orange chair is the first thing your eye catches, no question. Everything around it sits in walnut brown and warm gold, so one saturated colour breaking through does exactly what it needs to, keeps the whole room from folding into itself.
- Behind the desk, shelving runs all the way up to the ceiling, lit from behind in a warm gold glow. Books stacked in, a small coral piece here, a horse figurine tucked near the desk edge there. Nothing about it looks staged for a photoshoot, and that's kind of the whole charm of it.
- Three ring pendant lights hang overlapping above the desk, different sizes, sitting at slightly different heights rather than lined up evenly. Small detail, but it means the room isn't leaning on one single fixture the way most office rooms tend to.
- The desk itself sits on a brass X shaped base, a sharp break from the dark wood top sitting above it, and below that a navy and gold patterned rug grounds the whole seating area without pulling focus from the shelving behind.
- One wall skips the wood entirely and goes for a textured metallic panel instead, catching light differently depending on where you're standing in the room. Small move on paper, but it stops the whole space from reading as one flat material from every angle.
