Design Features:
- Deep moulded panelling covers both walls of the corridor, floor to ceiling. No colour break, no contrasting trim, just white repeated in raised rectangles the whole way down. Restraint does more work here than any pattern would.
- A framed calligraphy panel hangs alone on the left wall. Worn. Textured. Almost antique against the crisp panelling around it. One piece of art. Nothing crowding it.
- A slim brass sconce drops down between the panelling and the shelving nook. One bulb. It warms the hallway more than any recessed fixture overhead ever could.
- Floating shelves sit tucked into a shallow recess just before the arch. A few books, a small vase, a potted plant lower down. Small footprint. Still enough to break the long, unbroken run of wall.
- A patterned wool rug sits just past the arch threshold. Muted brown, the only real colour in the frame. Set against the white, it grounds the whole transition into the prayer space.
