Design Features:
- The niche narrows toward the top in a classic mihrab shape, and a carved geometric pattern fills the surface behind it. Light spills out from the edges rather than sitting on the surface, which gives the whole recess a lifted, almost floating quality after dark.
- A single word sits above the arch. No lengthy inscription, no dense script running the width of the wall. Just "Allah" carved into the plaster, small enough that it doesn't compete with the architecture underneath it.
- Bookcases climb the full height of the wall on either side, mirrored down to the shelf spacing. Novels and religious texts share the shelves without any obvious sorting, which is what makes this section feel lived-in rather than styled for a shoot.
- Mashrabiya-style panels break up the lower cabinet fronts on both towers. Daylight throws shadow across the lattice. Come evening, the same panel glows from the inside light instead. Same piece, two completely different looks depending on the hour.
- A round rug breaks from the usual rectangular prayer mat. Its rings echo the arch shape sitting above it. Carpet runs underfoot beneath that, and between the two, marble's coolness gets traded for something a lot softer to kneel on.
