Design Features

  • A glossy stretch panel covers the ceiling and reflects the lights below. A hidden strip of warm gold light glows along the ceiling border.  The shiny finish makes the ceiling feel higher and the room more spacious.
  • Bookmatched marble slabs cover the feature wall. The brown and pale lilac veins on one slab flip and repeat on the next. A screen is fixed in the middle of the wall to keep clients entertained during long treatments.
  • Gold framed arched mirrors light up the styling wall and built in shelves sit between each pair. Retail products go on those shelves so stock stays close to every station and never looks messy.
  • The waiting area sits right in the middle with grey armchairs and sofas set around a walnut coffee table. Waiting clients stay part of the room’s energy instead of being tucked away in a corner.
  • Dark wooden slats cover both end walls and add warmth next to all the marble and gloss. Black and white photos in frames rest on lit shelves along these walls. Close to the entrance there’s a makeup counter for quick touch ups before clients head out.

FAQs

What is a stretch ceiling and does it suit a salon?

A stretch ceiling is a thin PVC or fabric sheet pulled tight over a frame around the room’s edges. It’s quicker to fit than plasterboard and hides all ducts and wires. Sharp tools and hot light fittings can damage it so some care is needed. A commercial interior design team should confirm it meets local fire safety rules before installation.

What is bookmatched marble?

Two thin slabs are cut one after another from a single marble block. One of them is turned over like the next page in a book. The veins on both slabs then line up as a mirror image. Large porcelain slabs can copy this look at a lower cost. Both are common choices in interior decoration for salon feature walls.

Does a salon really need a lounge area?

Salons with long treatments or group bookings get the most out of one. A comfortable seating area gives clients a reason to relax and browse the retail shelves. The seating should be placed so it doesn’t block staff moving between stations.

Can a TV be mounted on a marble feature wall?

Yes if the bracket is fixed into the solid wall behind the cladding. Marble alone isn’t built to carry that weight. Cable routes and power points should be planned early since changes after the slabs go up can be costly.

What adds to the cost of a Luxury salon interior?

Natural bookmatched marble is usually the biggest expense. The stretch ceiling, lit arched mirrors and built in joinery come next. Asking for real marble and porcelain to be priced separately in an interior design estimate makes it easier to decide where to spend and where to save.
