Design Features
- Right above the central styling island hang three capsule mirrors and each one is framed by a soft LED ring because they’re in the middle of the room. Clients also get to look out into the salon while they’re being styled. That feels far nicer than staring at a wall.
- The styling island is wrapped in fluted wood panels that match the tall timber shelves nearby. Repeating one material links each zone. Behind the wood we’ve used moisture resistant boards. That’s a must with the kind of humidity the UAE gets.
- On the side walls there’s a linen textured wallpaper. It adds a gentle sense of depth without breaking the calm and pale colour scheme. Go for a washable vinyl-backed type though. In a busy salon walls get touched and splashed all day and these clean up easily.
- Along one side runs a long white nail bar with soft grey chairs and a linear pendant light hanging above it. The wash basins are placed in a separate corner away from the styling chairs and nail bar.
- The retail shelf is set inside a backlit niche with a gently arched top. The curve takes its cue from Arabic architecture where arches are common in homes and mosques alike. This familiar regional detail gives the salon a warmer and more welcoming feel.
