Design Features

  • The floor uses three marble shades to mark out each zone. Rose marble sits under the styling counter. The walkway through the centre is black marble with thin white veins. Plain white marble covers the waiting corner.
  • Behind the wash area the wall is finished in wood veneer panels. They’re set at different angles so the grain never runs the same way twice in a row. Thin brass lines between the panels pick up the light.
  • The side wall is lined with red-brown slats right up to the top. Small LED lights are fitted into a few of the gaps. No two of them are spaced the same. So the wall seems to have more depth and the eye goes up to the ceiling.
  • A rose marble counter runs under rectangular mirrors with glowing frames. Its curved white base ends in a rounded corner. Clients passing by are less likely to knock into a hard edge.
  • Cream tub chairs with channel stitching sit on chrome ring bases in the waiting area. Further inside there are white shampoo chairs with a massage function. Black marble covers the window wall.

FAQs

How can flooring divide zones in an open salon?

A change in floor colour or material at the edge of each zone guides clients without adding walls. Any joint between two materials should be level with the floor on both sides. This lowers the risk of tripping. This approach is one of the most practical modern salon design ideas for keeping open layouts clear.

Is it worth putting massage shampoo chairs in a salon?

For a salon with premium clients they are worth it. The hair wash becomes a short treatment that clients enjoy. Every chair needs a power socket close by and room behind it to lean all the way back.

What is the point of placing wood veneer panels at different angles?

Light makes wood grain look different from each side. A panel can look pale and the one next to it can look much darker. So with every panel set a bit differently one timber gives many tones. Using veneer from a single log keeps the base colour the same across the wall.

Are LED strips inside wall slats safe in a salon?

Yes when low voltage strips are used with drivers placed where they can be reached for servicing. The wooden slats also need a fire-resistant treatment. In Dubai a commercial interior design specialist makes sure all electrical work is approved by the local authorities.

Does a floor with three types of marble cost more?

Yes since each stone has its own price. The joins between them need precise cutting which adds labour time. Extra slabs are also needed to cover offcuts and breakage. A three stone floor ends up with a higher interior design cost than one laid in a single marble.
